I was just wondering why you guys don't have streaming video for your barn cams. Is it more expensive or more complicated because I think it would make the foaling more exciting instead of having to wait every 15 seconds or so to reload. Not complaining just wondering, I love this site!

Hi Nae,
Bill does have streaming cams on the BarnBuddy site. He was actually the first to try the streaming cams and now he has quite a few of them for different areas of the farm including two views on the foaling stall.

You are right in that it is more expensive and even though the small amount charged to be a buddy ($7 a month or $35 a year) doesn't even begin to cover the cost of everything it does help a little.

It is a lot of fun to watch and most of the streaming cams have sound as well. Makes you feel almost as if you are standing right there in the barn....only you can't smell it! 

I wasn't sure if you knew about the Buddy Site so will post the link how to become a Buddy. There is a message board, regular updates, udder pictures, the streaming cams, ect. It is a little more active during the quieter "non-foaling" season but this public board is important too and we appreciate everyone who watches whether they are able to be "buddies" or not.
