Checkers is pretty chunky now and will be brought in within two weeks to rest at night.

Checkers is on the main cam now. If you were to see Checkers and Annie side by side, you would not think they had due dates only two weeks apart! Checkers is positively matronly, with a big round belly and that wide waddle that you’ve seen before, such as on Frosty and Roxy. If Checkers was a woman, from the back you’d still definitely know that she was pregnant, with the rolling, side to side gait with her toes almost pointing outward that is a giveaway even at a distance. Then there’s dainty Annie, like that 115 pound woman who does Jazzercise up until her due date and gains - horrors! - all of 19 pounds with her pregnancy. (all of which she loses 30 days after “foaling”) You’d never know females like that are pregnant unless they turn sideways and then sometimes you still wonder. But Annie really is expecting, and both moms-to-be are feeling well and doing great. I am picturing a big bruiser of a colt with Checkers, and a dainty little well-behaved filly with Annie - I just can’t picture her teaching a rambunctious big colt how to behave!

Checkers is live on cam and she looks pretty. 

I can't await to see her foal. 

Just right now I have a "black screen", because she stands direct in front of the cam.

Checkers is up and down a lot. Most of the time sleeping. 

Sometimes she is kicking against her udder. Seems to me that she will foal soon. Let's wait and see how long we have to wait.

I've had my eyes on her for a while now, and she does seem different today from yesterday. So hopefully we will soon get to see her little one.  She's still got 10 days to go though, according to her due date.

Okay, due date is 30.03.2009, but I am so excited and want to know how her foal will look like.

Nope, no foal yet for dear Checkers.   
But she has a whole week before her due date is there so we'll just have to be a little patient I guess.

Today it seems to me that Checkers has soft poopie. 

I love to watch her. 

She has some special kinds of sleeping positions and sometimes she is dreaming and all her ears, legs are moving during her dreams. 

I hope for a spotted foal!

Nothing new with Checkers I have to report. Her udder looks the same as it had for a while. No wax and not very sunken it yet around her tail.

I did get to see a foal born today. It was at a farm in Germantown Wisconsin that needed a BarnCam installed quickly as the husband was going out of town and he didn’t want his wife running to the barn. Just as I was about done putting up the camera, the mare layed down outside in the mud. The owner was there and got her inside and before long her water broke and the foal was on it’s way. They were all Belgain horses. Really big. Can you believe they have Belgians in Germantown. LOL

Today Bill has fixed the time for me on Checkers BarnCam. 

Now I can see everytime when I watch Checkers how late it is in Oconomowoc at Bill's home and if he is awake or asleep.
