The History of BarnCams International / Die Historie von BarnCams International

One year 2008 of BarnCams International / Ein Jahr 2008 mit BarnCams Intern.

Hello Bill,

do you remember the New Years night of 2008?  question

Believe me I do!

I had posted at the MareStare forum for help and needed informations about European cams:

http://latigo.marestare.com/forum/index.php?topic=3764.0

A mystery man named "honey" answered to my questions first. ;o)

The next morning I received an email of a man named Bill Thiel of Saddlebrook BarnCams:

Quote
Just wanted to let you know our barncams will work in Germany without a problem. The only difference will be the power supplies you need to plug into the wall and we have versions for Germany at no extra charge. Assuming you are using windows on your computer you can also stream on Marestare or anywhere using our capture cards and cameras.
Thanks,
Bill Thiel

What a wonderful surprise. That was the beginning of it all and now we have an ONE YEAR old friendship and the idea and vision of BarnCam International came true with the BarnCam forum beginning three month later.

How fast time is running ...

I want to say THANK YOU to you and your family for all your help und trust in me.

Bill & Susan and all at Saddlebrook BarnCams, you are the best!

 thankyou yourethebest

I've posted it all at my Barn Blog in our BarnCam forum, too. Maybe you want to read it:

And there is now a categorie of "BarnCams History" in our forum. It is brandnew and I will update it the next time.

I want to share all the memories of the beginning of BarnCam International and every year we will be together to share our experineces and to watch the pregnant mares with all people in the world. I hope you like it.

I wish you and your family a Happy New Year and safe and healthy foaling saison 2009. May all your dreams come true!

Thanks,
Annette

This email above was the beginning of BarnCams International.

Now I want to tell you more about the next steps to realise the dream of a multilanguaged International BarnCam forum.

 smalltalk

I've answered Bill in a long email and told him about my idea and vision of a kind of "European BarnCam forum" oder maybe "International BarnCam forum".

Bill said: "No problem" and did it.  hooray

 thankyou yourethebest

He answered me, that he would be interested in working with me to market cameras in Europe and that he has thought about it before and even has set up a website called stallkamera.com and wrote the following words, too:

Quote
"We do have IP cameras that do not need a computer, and that we also have PAL cameras and German power supplies that will work perfectly in Europe. We have sold a few cameras there in the past, but we haven't advertised at all in Europe. We could easily setup a ... like site for Europe. With the internet you can be anywhere in the world and still see what is going on. I just set up a Criacam site (CriaCam.com) for the alpaca owners and a European site would be very easy to do, but I would need someone to help because of the language issues.

Please email me your phone number and we can discuss this more. ...

And we have discussed via email a lot of things, the domain name, the design, a lot of ideas and problems and have shared a lot of informations. And the dream of an "International BarnCam Forum" begun to come true ... hooray

And now one of the best things that happened: All the way from my idea of "BarnCam International" to the realization with Bill's help and until now I was not alone!

Right beside me and Bill was my friend and our BarnCam moderator Akkie, who helped und supported us in every way, in good and bad times. Without her help, posts, ideas, fun and translations "BarnCam International" would have not been what it is now.  hug

 thankyou yourethebest

02/05/2008 - The domain www.barncam.de was up and Bill started his work to built up a SMF BarnCam Forum.  jump

02/11/2008 - My first log-in was my first step into the "Barncam International Forum". Akkie followed me. hooray

02/14/2008 - Akkie wrote her first blogs on www.barncam.de/nl

02/23/ 2008 - Our first BarnCam International customer Marleen Stingl, Bavaria Stud came to us  flowers and Akkie and I, we got our BarnCam moderator status. This was the beginning of our buildup of the BarnCam International forum. We've worked days  pcfreak and nights  pcsleep ...

02/26/2008 - I wrote my first blog on www.barncam.de  smile

03/17/2008 - We proudly presented the worldwide first born "BarnCam International foal not on cam" named "Bavaria Amberleigh in Love" of Bavaria Stud. Amberleigh we will never forget you!

03/18/2008 - We proudly presented the worldwide first born "BarnCam International foal on cam" named "Finnegan" of Saddlebrook Appaloosas.

And a lot of foals followed them into this world and we all have had the chance to saw them live on BarnCams.  applaus

Let's hope that we will see a lot of more nice and healthy foals the next years on live streaming BarnCams.  yes
