Today we have the first New Years day of the year 2009 and that is for me a very special day. Today my friendship with Bill Thiel at Saddlebrook BarnCams, Wisconsin is ONE YEAR old and it was the beginning of a dream came true for me. My wish to realize an International or European BarmCam forum was "no problem" for Bill and he said it and did it.

 

What had happened the last year? Let's share all the memories.

Oh! Dazu fallen mir auch einige Erinnerungen ein! z. B. wie meine "läppische" "deutsche" (Schweineteure) Kamera sozusagen "aus Versehen" zur 1. Barncam wurde! 

Sowas läuft doch normalerweise unter "Umetikettierung", oder???  Wie viele Jahre Knast gibt es da drauf?? 

Wie spannend und aufregend das war, als hier die ersten Utensilien aus den USA eintrafen und wir daran getüftelt haben wie das alles funktionert! Und am Ende war alles einfacher als gedacht! 

.... und dann Arielle und Amberleigh, das erste Fohlen... 

man könnte fast sagen und so "nahm das Schicksal seinen Lauf"!

Oh man, Marleen, wie kannst du uns nur so "in die Pfanne" hauen ... 

Okay, okay, die erste "BarnCam" war eben eine deutsche. 

Aber das Zubehör, damit die erst einmal online ins Internet gehen konnte, war "Made in USA"!!! Und ohne Bill's Hilfe aus den USA, hätten wir Deutschen nix zu sehen bekommen. 

Also, wird es wohl keinen Knast geben, HOFFE ICH. 

Aber "schwedische Gitter" habe ich bei dir auch schon jede Menge im Stall gesehen, als ich die Stuten per Internet live mit überwacht habe. Das waren natürlich die Trenngitter der Pferdeboxen. 

Und dann erinnere ich mich noch genau wie ihr auf dem Dach rumgeturnt seid, weil das Kamerabild so unscharf war, weil das Dach gestört hat. Ich habe hier gebangt und gezittert, dass ihr da noch runterfallt. Aber Stefan hat ja eine gute Lösung gefunden und alles ist gut gegangen. 

Und dann habe ich mich immer amüsiert, wenn ich vor dem PC sass und deine Stuten beobachtet habe. 

Wenn dann eine deiner Stuten abfohlte und ich anrufen musste ... 

Was machten Marleen & Stefan ... nanana ... na klar ... und wenn das Telefon klingelte, dann kam die folgende Reaktion ...  und dann musste ich es noch einmal versuchen ... auf dem Handy ...  ... und dann ist Marleen aber in den Stall geflitzt ...  ... im Nachthemd ... 

Und dann habe ich so vieles anderes bei euch sehen dürfen: An erster Stelle die Live on Cam Fohlengeburten, euer Stallbesuch, die verschiedenen Ponys und die beiden Hunde, die Neuankunft von Agenor habe ich live mitbekommen und dann immer wieder euch beide, Stefan & dich Marleen.

Am deutlichsten in der Erinnerung blieb aber die Geschichte mit Pebbles, Arielle und Felix. Wieviele Stunden habe ich mir euch gebangt,  gehofft  , Erfahrungen ausgetauscht  und habe Abschied von Pebbles und Amberleigh genommen. 

Gleichzeitig habe ich aber auch viel davon gelernt und wir konnten uns per Kamera und Telefon in der Not sofort austauschen und beraten. Auch wenn ich nur Beobachter war, so hatte ich doch immer das Gefühl an allem, was geschehen ist, teilhaben zu können. Dafür möchte ich euch nochmal ganz herzlich danken!

Bei mir hat's angefangen als ich Annette kennelernte auf ein anderes Forum  und wir angefangen haben Emails zu schreiben...... Haufenweise........

Dann hat Annette mich von ihre grossartige Idee erzählt    und wir haben gesucht und überlegt, und dann hat Annette den Bill Thiel bereit gefunden das zu machen.  Das hat gleich vom Anfang an Spass gemacht, besonders als Marleen auch dazu kam mit Kamera!  Das freut mich noch immer! 

Da haben wir die Chance gehabt die Geburten von Europäische Fohlen mitzuerleben!  Marleen dass du das mit uns teilen willst!  Und ich freue mich schon auf der nächste Fohlensaison! 

Wir waren Alle traurig als wir uns von Pebbles und Amberleigh In Love verabschieden mussten,  aber da haben wir Einander auch etwas Trösten können. 

Und wir haben uns gefreut als es mit dem kleinen Felix doch gut gegangen ist, weil die Marleen so eine gute Ponymutter war!  Und auch als bei Annette die kleine Remy geboren wurde! 

Ist kaum zu fassen wie schnell dieses Jahr schon wieder vorbei war! Da war plötzlich der  und dann auch schon  mit dem neuen Jahr.

Ich wünsche Alle vom ganzen Herzen ein Super 2009  und freue mich schon euch Alle hier immer wieder zu treffen!

Ich habe versucht dir auf Niederländische zu antworten und dann auf Englisch und dann auf Deutsch und dann flogen die Emails in allen drei Sprachen hin und her. Am Ende aber haufenweise immer in Deutsch, weil ich so selig war, dass ich mit meinen nicht so guten Niederländischen Sprachkenntnissen nicht immer so lange an den Antworten basteln musste.

Ja, Akkie, mit dir habe ich meine Idee erst mal besprochen. Und du fandest sie auch so gut. Ich wollte die ja schon vorher mal realisiert haben und hatte sie schon in dem anderen amerikanischen Forum angesprochen, bin da aber auf kein wirklich ernsthaftes Interesse gestossen. Ich hatte eher das Gefühl, dort nicht ganz erwünscht zu sein, weil ich halt aus Übersee bin. 

Ja, und dann kam Bill's Email. Er kam, sah und siegte. Und schon ging es los ... Akkie und ich, wir beiden sprühten vor Ideen, Bill macht es mit dem BarnCam International Forum möglich.

 

Und dann ging es Schlag auf Schlag ... Bill's Stuten sollten live on cam abfohlen ... wir warteten sehnsüchtig Tag  und Nacht 

Marleen aus dem Gestüt Bavaria kam dazu mit ihren kleinen Rennkugeln namens Shetland Ponys ... 

Und dann begann das erste BarnCam International Foaling Race ... Bill's Stute Roxy war die Favoritin und galt eigentlich als unschlagbar. Marleen's Stuten waren ja auch erst später dran. Dann kam eine Aussenseiterin ins Spiel: Die Stute Spice. Bill wurde sozusagen von seiner eigenen Nachwuchsstute "geschlagen". 

Boah, dass hätte Wetteinnahmen gegeben, wenn das ein echtes Pferderennene gewesen wäre. 

Dann durften wir auch von Bill und seinen Saddlebrook Appaloosas lernen, als die Stute Spice ihr Fohlen nicht annahm und Bill & Susan alles versucht haben, um dem kleinen Finnegan seine so lebenswichtige Milch zu geben. Sogar einen Spezial-Trinkstall hat Bill gebaut, damit Finnegan trinken kann, ohne von seiner Mutter geschlagen zu werden. Er hat versucht Roxy zu überreden, Finnegan zu adoptieren, aber die hatte alle Hände voll zu tun mit ihrem eigenen Fohlen. Dann hat Bill zwei Ziegen besorgt und eine Plattform gebaut, auf der die Ziegen stehen konnten und damit "größer" wurden, damit Finnegan an deren Euter saugen konnte. Zuletzt bevorzugte es Finnegan aus einem Igloo-Saugeimer zu trinken. Boah, das war alles spannend und sehr lehrreich.

 

Wir haben hier immer so viel zu erzählen gehabt  und konnten gute Dinge  und traurige Erlebnisse  sowie auch Aufregung und Ärger  immer miteinander teilen. 

Meistens haben wir hier einen Riesenspaß und können viel lachen.   

Ich kann mir meinen Alltag ohne "BarnCams International" schon gar nicht mehr vorstellen.
